Well, ladies and germs, I was takin' a look at the top headlines of the day, and was floored by the same one that seemed to be threading in and out of every major story. From CNN to DAS FOX it was all the same: "Obama's Patriotism Questioned". What a diversion, I thought, as I did indeed grumpily read these stories, and found the only evidence of this "lack of patriotism" was that Obama didn't wear his little flag lapel pin enough for the authors of the articles to be satisfied.....er, that couldn't be because that look is associated with the other party? DUH! I still don't understand why no one remarks on that. Oh, yeah, their owners like the tight leash on their "commentators". But the main question I would ask these self appointed skeptics is:
The man is RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.......how are you going to get more patriotic than that? Really, it is so bizarre it makes me laugh. Whether I dislike a candidate or not, I, as well as the majority of the world, know it takes alot of energy to run for the top office in this country, so I believe the man has enough personal feelings for the country he was born and raised in (yes, I know he was in other countries during his youth, but please) to make this accusation sound foolish. I mean, the current guy we have in office wears his lapel pin every time he is spotted at an "official" event, yet his "patriotism" has never been called into question. Yet his track record is painful. What a country!

It is all just propoganda! Every time you want to cloud an issue or the truth, then you make up stories to try and inspire doubt. They will take something that has some perpetual meaning, even though it is really irrevelant, and then build a case around it.

If I were Obama, I would show my patriotism by suing each and every one of those newspapers plus the source of the article for every last dime they have, for printing a defamatory article. After all, isn't that the American way!?!

Sure, I totally agree it is a distraction. The sad thing is that he cannot go after these newspapers, I am sure, because he has to appear "above this" and since there are only five media corporations (or is it now down to three?) he would get slapped across the face even harder, with even weirder allegations.
Another day in the life.....

Yeah, isn't that the sad truth! Well, up here in Canada, that hasn't stopped our Prime Minister from suing the opposition party for slander. And yet, his whole campaign to get elected was "smear campaigns"! I think there should be a censorship board for dealing with "negative reporting". Just like they have censorship on your movies, music, and games. Freedom of speech is great but it should not infringe on the freedom of the individual. But for now, one can only hope that people can see through this false report. For me, it usually makes me feel stronger for the one that is being accused.

If you think about it...not wearing that fucking flag pin on his sporty suit really is the thing they could come up with outside of the reverend that made those comments! Calling him (Obama) non-patriotic is just bullshit rhetoric that will go nowhere as McCain and his supporters are just grasping at straws!!! It's just fodder to me...they have nothing and McCain, that piece of shit, just accepted the endorcement of the guy behind the swift boat adds he so adamently condemed 4 years ago!!! I am so mentally drained already from this election process!!! I say Go Obama and I hope to god the bible belt realizes, like they showed when voting for hukabee rather than McCain in the primaries...that the right choice is Obama!! Did you hear about those retards in Florida who spray painted cars saying Obama smokes crack?? Ignorance is what truly worries me!! Enough said.........

Yes, there will always be ignorance, but just reading the level of tension from you all actually gives me hope that this time around the peeps of America will wake up and won't vote Lil' Bush and his cronies in again.

I mean, the man is running for President, not Pope, so I never understood the distraction about his "interpretation of Bible quotes". Huh? And the lapel pin could just be what The Copper Man is sayin', he doesn't want to be associated with the Republicans.

Damn it, I want a president with an IQ!!!!!! Sorry Johnny Boy McCain!

My sentiments exactly Bette...I want a president whom I am confident that is smarter than me!!! I think we have a chance...this country is waking up and how can they not, we have a bear market (means recession officially!), the gas prices are up, the food costs are up, the mortgage crisis that ultimately effected the world, etc.

I am anxious for November to come around...enough is enough!!! You're right, he is running for President and the palpacy! It is a diversion tactic on the republican side...hoping to win the votes that way!! It's not going to work this time around. Americans in general are starting to pay attention...maybe this is what they needed...to feel the pinch to open their eyes and realize what the hell were they thinking voting Lil' Bush and his cronies in for a second term!!!

Smooooooooooooooooches Bette!!
